Civil War History Comes Alive

    Wheaton Illinois Du Page County Fairgrounds; back by popular demand, Zurko's Midwest Promotions will be sponsoring the "National Civil War & Military Extravaganza, Show and Sale!"National Civil War and Military Extravaganza Cannon     On Saturday, March 29th from 9am to 4pm "History Comes Alive" Thousands of historical artifacts will be for sale from the Civil War, Revolutionary War, Spanish-American War, and World Wars I and II. In additions treasures may be found from the Indian Wars, Fur Traders, and Early Mountain Men!
    There will also be some very special displays of Historical Americana to view and enjoy. This year Jim Tamaraz will have a display of U.S. WWII garrison, bivovc, and field equipment. Since the Zurko Military show is near the First Infantry Division Museum, major emphasis is on First Infantry Division clothing and equipment. Avery Bennett is displaying hand forged fur trader traps dating from 1751-1850. Sizes very from small bear traps, to wolf and beaver, down to muskrat traps. The display has a Kentucky rifle, with an over and under barrel, a large powder horn and two powder measures. An 1870's lamp with a pewter base depicting a wolf in a trap is also displayed.
    Civil War buffs will also enjoy the fabulous artillery display of Civil War Cannon, an original Gatling Gun and Coe Horn Mortar, brought to you by the Battery H-First Illinois Light Artillery"
    Show hours at the Du Page County Fairgrounds, in Wheaton, Illinois (County Farm & Manchester) will be September March 29th. From 9am to 4pm for only $9.00. Children 16 and under are free with an adult. Parking is free.
