III. Colonel William J. Hoke, Thirty-eighth Regiment North Carolina troops, will proceed with his regiment to Weldon, N. C., and take such measures as the force at his command will permit for the defense of the bridge at that place.

He will consider himself still under the command of Colonel Leventhorpe, Thirty-fourth Regiment of North Carolina troops.
