On your return from your present expedition, or before, should the necessity arise, he and all the rest of your command, in whatever portion of the department, will be ordered to report to you. On your return also the commander of any district in which you may find yourself will be instructed to furnish your troops with whatever they require, you reporting direct to these headquarters. The arms for which you telegraphed were immediately forwarded and I hope have been received.
