The cavalry regiment selected will march to City Point. Report, as soon as you have made your selection, designation and strength in men and horses of regiment, so that General Grant may be notified.

I will send the Thirteenth Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment. Strength present with this army, 520 men; serviceable horses, 436; unserviceable horses, 41; aggregate present and absent, 811 men. The regiment can report to General Grant with al its men present by 12 noon to-morrow.
