Volunteers, assistant adjutant-general, Department of Virginia, to be brigadier-general by brevet, or full, for gallantry before the enemy, to date from capture of Fort Harrison, September 29, 1864. Colonel John E. Mulford, to be brigadier-general by brevet, for special services and highly meritorious conduct, to date from July 4, 1864. Major P. Ord, assistant adjutant-general of volunteers, to be lieutenant-colonel by brevet, for gallant conduct in the campaign of 1864, to date from the capture of Fort Harrison, September 29, 1864. Captain H. G. Brown, aide-de-camp, U. S.
