Commanding, &c., Wilmington:

COLONEL: The commanding general directs that you immediately place a guard of twelve men at each of the two bridges of the Wilmington and Manchester road near town, an at the Livingston bridge, seventeen miles from here. Mr. Dram, superintendent, will furnish transportation. It is desired that all the mechanics employed by Chief Constructor Porter be at once returned to him.
