moved at the same time from about the place where I now am. One of our men, of Twenty-fourth Corps, taken prisoner, escaped last night, and is just now brought to me. He says one of the enemy's stragglers told him their army was in position at a place which I take to be three miles from here. I merely send this because I send everything from a tolerably intelligence source. My men are marching finely-the effect of the rations.
