I have ordered a division to support Kilpatrick. General Buford has since reported here through Culpeper. The movement may require the advance of the corps, for which I have prepared.

The major-general commanding has directed General French to give General Kilpatrick sufficient infantry support to enable him to secure Pony Mountain. Direct General Kilpatrick to secure it.
