COLONEL: The major-general commanding directs you to move with your command on the 17th instant. His letter of March 16 will be your instructions in this move also, and the general desires that you will carry them out as far as possible. If transportation can be procured, Lieutenant-Colonel [Clarence] Derric will join you.
