Columbus:

GENERAL: You will move two regiments, to be selected by yourself, as rapidly as possible by rail to Louisville. Men will take camp and garrison equipage and 40 rounds of ammunition. At Louisville they will receive orders from Major-General Rosecrans. All land transportation and unnecessary baggage will be turned over to the quartermaster. They will take three day's provisions from Cairo.
