Captain P. A. Taylor, Signal Corps, U. S. Army, having reported to the Major-general commanding, in accordance with Special Orders, Numbers 343, War Department, October 12, 1864, will immediately assume command and direction of the signal detachment of this Army, relieving Captain J. M. McClintock, acting Chief signal officer, therefrom. The Major-general commanding desires to express to Captain McClintock his appreciation of the services rendered by him during the late campaign in Georgia.
