O request that Captain Cornelius Cadle, Jr., assistant adjutant-general, U. S. Volunteers, be assigned to duty as assistant adjutant- general of this corps, with rank of lieutenatn- colonel, to take effet fromthe date of the confirmation of Lieutenant Colonel A. J. Alexande as brevet brigadier- genral. I also requaest that he be promoted to the rank of major and assistnast adjutant- genal of volunteers.
