The troops at this place are commanded by Colonel Harvey Graham, Twenty-second Iowa Volunteers, Second Brigade, First Division, Tenth Corps. The troops consist of the Fifty-fourth, One hundred and fifty-ninth, and One hundred and seventy-ninth New York Volunteers, Twenty-second and Twenty-eighth Iowa Volunteers, Thirteenth Connecticut, and First North Carolina Volunteers, and Fourteenth U. S. Colored Artillery, and number in effective strength 57 commissioned officers, 1,994 enlisted men.
