GOVERNOR: I received last night official notification from Brigadier- General Vogdes, commanding U. S. forces, Jacksonville, of the termination of the armistice recently agreed on between General Johnston and Major- General Sherman, and that hostilities would be resumed at the expiration of twenty- four hours after the delivery of his dispatch at my outposts.
