COLONEL: I am directed by General Price to instruct you to put the troops which are still at Columbus in readiness to move at once. Let all the absentees be called in and the men be put in as good condition as possible. When the enemy abandon the country south of the Tennessee there will be no further occasion for these troops at Columbus, while they will be greatly needed in Kentucky. Please order all convalescents and stragglers forward. The general moved his headquarters to Guntown to-day.
