Calhoun:
If you have not yet started from Calhoun you will not march for Cleveland, but will send a force with provisions and forage to Columbus to watch the road from East Tennessee. It is reported that Longstreet's cavalry is making its way to join Joe Johnston via Marshal, Quallatown, and Murphy, thence to Benton. He was expected at Murphy last night.
Ascertain what you can regarding it, and report.
