Wales' Station Bridge and Reynolds' Station Bridge:

General Dodge reports that Forrest has a pontoon; will cross the river and attack railroad above Athens. Watch for the enemy closely to prevent a surprise, and also to gain information of his strength and intent. If attacked, move every man into your stockade, fort, or fortification, and defend the bridge or trestle to the last extremity. Report all important information to these headquarters immediately.
