You have fifty men of the Sixty-eighth New York and fifty men of the Ninth Ohio Light Artillery with which you can relive the men in block-houses east of Bridgeport. The block-house at Bridgeport can be garrisoned by Eighteenth U. S. Colored Infantry.

Commanding Post, Cleveland:
COLONEL: As trains cannot run farther than the junction on the Chattanooga and Atlanta road, you will please march the troops of the Fourteenth Army Corps you have at this place along the line of the Chattanooga and Atlanta road, relieving all troops in block-houses south of Chickamauga Station and north of Tunnel Hill. The troops of the Fourteenth Army Corps with wood party you will relieve with an equal number from the Twentieth Corps, and add them to the detachment of the Fourteenth Corps for the above garrison duty. The detachment of the Fourteenth Army Corps now at Tunnel Hill will remain at Tunnel Hill until General Cruft's return, when it will be used to strengthen the garrisons in block-houses this side. Should any be found in the block-houses, they will be ordered to Tunnel Hill to garrison that place until General Cruft's return. You will order the troops relieved to report at once to Brigadier-General Meagher. You will commence the execution this order at once, and report its completion.

A train will be at Charleston and Cleveland to-morrow morning January 12, to bring your command to this place. Notify troops at Charleston, and hold yourself in readiness to load on arrival of the train. On your arrival here, you will report to General Meagher.
