General Lee telegraph from Florence that he will be at Okolona in a few days, and wishes my views relative to recent events in Tennessee. I have no advices whatever from that quarter, and do not understand General Lee's telegram. I am apprehensive some reverse may have occurred. I will leave here as soon as practicable, unless otherwise instructed.

General Taylor reports enemy left Memphis on 20th [21st] moving on State Line road. His advance reached La Fayette Depot on 20th. His force consists of two brigades negroes, and one of white cavalry. Object of movement not yet developed.
