Dispatch received. As soon as you can move your command, telegraph the engineer officer at Edwards Ferry, that he may make his arrangements to take up one of the bridges. Keep yourself advised of the crossing of the different corps. The Sixth is the last.

GENERAL: I have the honor to inclose you a map of this country. The major-general commanding directs that you march your command to Frederick City by the most direct route, and with the utmost expedition consistent with the condition of your horses. Your train will push on the same point as soon as possible. These headquarters will be at Frederick City to-night.
