CAPTAIN: I have the honor to transmit report of Colonel E. M. McCook, Second Indiana Cavalry, commanding First Division, of the operations of his division from 24th ultimo;also copy of report of Colonel A. P. Campbell, Second Michigan Cavalry, commanding First Brigade, First Division, for the same time.

The report of Colonel O. H. La Grange, First Wisconsin Cavalry, commanding Second Brigade, First Division,for the same time, I had the honor to forward on the 28th and of casualties on the 31st ultimo.

The reports of the brigade and division commanders are so complete I have nothing to add to them beyond an expression of my admiration for the gallantry displayed by officers and men of my command in the several affairs with the enemy from the 24th to 28th ultimo, inclusive.
