La Grange, Tennessee:

General A. J. Smith will not move from Columbus before Monday. You will, however, move your infantry upon Purdy to-morrow morning via Corinth, which is the best way, in accordance with written orders sent you to-day. Grierson will move up slowly on La Grange to-morrow. You will telegraph to General Webster for sufficient trains to move the two regiments and batteries and their train. Start to-morrow morning.
