City Point, Va., February 1, 1865.Lieutenant Colonel F. T. Dent, aide-de-camp, will proceed as bearer of dispatches to the headquarters of Major General George Stoneman, commanding District of East Tennessee, and Major General George H. Thomas, commanding Department of the Cumberland. Upon the execution of this order Lieutenant-Colonel Dent will rejoin these headquarters.
