Mobile papers of this morning confirm the rumor that Selma has the valuable machinery has been taken. We are further advised that Sherman has defeated Johnston, who has fallen back on Raleigh, where our forces are now besieging him. An order will be issued in course of the evening for a salute of 100 shotted guns to be fired to-morrow.
