Be pleased to instruct Colonel Bertram without delay to respond promptly to any calls made on him for details for guard and other duty by the provost-marshal-general, who remain behind at this place for the present.

I have just received the following dispatch from Signal Officer R-, dated 9th, 8.10 a. m.:

A rebel gun-boat is coming down from Blakely and going to Mobile crowded with troops.

Another rebel gun-boat coming from Blakely loaded with troops. The enemy has about a dozen row-boats, a sloop, a covered scow, one small propeller, &c.,near Fort Huger and Tracy.
