MAJOR: I am picketing from Umber's Ferry, on the Little River, to Warren's Ferry, on the Oconee River, according to instructions. I also sent a small force to a ford three miles above me on Little River. There is no news of importance. I have questioned citizens and negroes alike, with no result. There is a good ferry that will cross fifteen horses at one time at this point.
