The cashier of the Bank of Georgia having declined to return to Mr. McMillan, the agent of the Union Bank of Tennessee, the special deposits of that bank without a receipt for the Confederate money and bonds, which formed a part of them, I have directed the seizure of the entire bank and the arrest of the officers. After turning over what McMillan calmed, the balance with the officers will be held subject to your orders.
