I have send General Sullivan, and am sending all the troops to Cumberland. I understand they will be sent to Patterson's creek.

Commanding Brigade, Camp Piatt:

You will proceed with two regiments of your command by boat to Blennerhasset's Island, and from thence march to parkersburg, W. Va., reporting upon arrival to Major-General Hunter. If he is not there you will go into camp and await further orders. See that your troops are provided with four days' rations, Three boats are on the way to Camp Piatt now. Reserve the cabin of the Jonas Powell for yourself and staff and Brigadier-General Duffie and staff. No horses to go on boats.
