GENERAL: The general commanding directs me to say that your report, made to Major Henry ryan, of his staff, of the names of those officers and men of your brigade who distinguished themselves by their gallant conduct in the battle of Ocean Pond has been received, and that said report will be forwarded to the War Department for its information and action.

H. Anderson, commanding cavalry, to supply the place of the Second Florida Cavalry. The officer who commands these five companies must report Colonel R. H. Anderson to-night.
