Higdon commanding, is permanently detached from the Thirty-eight Regiment Georgia Volunteers, and upon the arrival of Captain Bomar's company will proceed by railroad to headquarters Department of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, and report to Major General Samuel Jones, commanding, for assignment to duty as unattached.

XIII. Paragraph XVII, Special Orders, Numbers 76, current series, assigning Colonel J. P. Jones, Provisional Army, C. S., to inspection duty in Department of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, is so amended as to take effect from February 26, 1864, at which time he entered upon the discharge of that duty.
