SPECIAL ORDERS,
HEADQUARTERS DISTRICT OF OREGON, Numbers 155.
Fort Vancouver, Wash. Ter., December 30, 1863.I. pursuant to instructions of the 21st instant, from headquarters Department of the Pacific, and to special orders from the War Department, Colonel Justus Steinberger, First Washington Territory Infantry, will repair without unnecessary delay to Fort Vancouver, and will be mustered out of the service by Major T. M. Winston, assistant commissary of musters.
II. Major C. H. Rumrill, First Washington Territory Infantry, will immediately assume command of his regiment, and as soon as the state of the communications shall permit, will repair from Fort Colville to Fort Walla Walla and assume command of that post.
