SIR: I have the honorto inclose herewith orders relinqhishing command of this post. I have been delayed some time waiting for subsistence stores for Company K, with which I was to proceed to Tucson. Lieutenant-Colonel Colt, in command at Tuscon, reports his command on half rations, and before subsistence can be got there I think they will be entirely out. For information in relation to affairs at this ost while under my command I respectfully refer to Dr. Charles C. Keeney, medical inspector, and Captain J. Kellogg, U. S. Army, chief of subssitence department.
