2. The detachment of the First Louisiana Cavalry now at Morganza will proceed without delay to Baton Rouge, and be reported by the commanding officer to Brigadier-General Bailey. The quartermaster's department will furnish the necessary transportation.

Morganza, La., January 2, 1865.
The Thirty-fourth Iowa and One hundred and fourteenth Ohio Infantry will immediately embark with all their camp and garrison equipage. The Thirty-fourth Iowa will embark in the Chouteau and the One hundred and fourteenth Ohio in the Thomas. Each regiment will immediately draw three days' additional marching rations. To avoid sickness and promote the health and safety of the troops, the commanding officers will observe the regulations for troops in transports, paragraphs 851 to 879, inclusive, of the Revised Army Regulators.
