2. Lieutenant Colonel D. J. Hynes, Seventeenth Regiment Illinois Cavalry Volunteers, is hereby relieved from duty as chief of cavalry, District of North Missouri, and will report forthwith in person to the commanding officer District of Saint Louis for duty.

5. The Forty-eighth Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry upon arrival at East Saint Louis will immediately disembark from the cars and proceed to Benton Barracks, Saint Louis, Mo., and await further orders.

6. Lieutenant Colonel D. J. Hynes, Seventeenth Illinois Cavalry, will proceed to Pilot Knob and relieve Colonel J. L. Beveridge, same regiment, in the command of the Third Sub-District.

7. On being relieved Colonel Beveridge will proceed via Saint Louis to Cape Girardeau and relieve Lieutenant Colonel H. M. Hiller, Second Cavalry Missouri State Militia, in the command of the Second Sub-District, the term of service of Lieutenant-Colonel Hiller expiring on the 26th instant. The quartermaster's department will furnish transportation for the authorized allowance of private horses and officers' servants.
