The headquarters Northern Division of Louisiana having been established at Shreveport, La., the Districts of Baton Rouge and Port Hudson and the post of Clinton are hereby consolidated and will be known as the District of East Louisiana, Brigadier General M. K. Lawler commanding, who will report direct too headquarters Department of the Gulf.

Commanding District of Port Hudson:
The following troops of your command are ordered too be in readiness to march at once: The Second Vermont and Twelfth Massachusetts batteries, the Fifty-fifth, Sixty-seventh, Eighty-fourth, and Ninety-second U. S. Colored Infantry Regiments. You are directed to see that these troops are provided with rations and forage too include the 10th day of June. The infantry to be supplied with ammunition sufficient to furnish each man with 100 rounds; the artillery chest to be full and 100 rounds for each piece in reserve.

As soon as ready to march you will report the fact to these headquarters.
