I have not received an answer t my dispatch of the 8th instant asking to have the following regiments of cavalry placed under my orders, viz: Seventh Indiana Cavalry, First Iowa Cavalry, Twelfth Illinois Cavalry, Fifth Illinois Cavalry, Second Wisconsin cavalry. I am anxious to hear from You, as the regiments are now scattered and will have to be concentrated.
