13. Company E, Second Illinois Light Artillery, now stationed at Baton Rouge, will proceed without delay to New Orleans, and be reported upon arrival to Brigadier General Richard Arnold, chief of artillery. The quartermaster's department will furnish the necessary transportation.

I have one company of the Eleventh Indiana in the post at Brashear, and the only company in the district who can handle heavy artillery. I will not order them away unless especially ordered, as the ford would be useless without them at present.
