Get every able-bodied citizen under arms at Fort Scott. Send a company of stragglers to the Mission and call in Company E, Fifteenth Kansas Volunteer Cavalry, to Fort Scott at once. Call in you outposts immediately, except the necessary pickets. Have your command ready to move at a moment's notice.
