Colonel Lewis Merrill, Second Missouri Cavalry, is hereby relieved from duty in the Cavalry Bureau, and will report in person without delay with the detachment of his regiment to the commanding general Department of the Missouri for assignment to such duty as General Canby may direct. The quartermaster's department will furnish the necessary transportation.
