Ninety-six officers and about 500 men go to Annapolis to-morrow. All officers who have been sent to Annapolis have been exchanged. I except to send forty more officers on Monday or Tuesday. I send this from City Point, where I shall remain until Monday.

I. Colonel Clark B. Lagow, aide-de-camp, U. S. Army, will immediately proceed to Memphis, Tenn., with the prisoners of war captured in recent battles and now at or in the vicinity of Young's Point, La. He will deliver one certified list or roll of said prisoners to Major General S. A. Hurlbut, at Memphis, Tenn., who will send said prisoners to Island No. 10 and furnish strong guards for them until he can communicate with the General-in-Chief of the Army as to the disposition to be made of them.
