SENTENCE.

And the commission does, therefore, sentence them, William A. Bowles, Lambdin P. Miligan, and Stephen Horsey, citizens of the State of Indiana, as follows:

In the case of William A. Bowles, citizens of the State of Indiana, to be hanged by the neck until he be deat, at such time and place as the commanding general of this district shall designate, two-thirds of the members of the commission concurring therein.

In the case of Lambdin P. Miligan, citizen of the State of Indiana, to be hanged by the neck until he be dead, at such time and place as the commanding general of this district shall designate, two-thirds of the members of the commissioner concurring therein.

In the case of Stephen Horsey, citizens of the State of Indiana, to be hanged by the neck until he be dead, at such time place as the commanding general of this district shall designate, two-thirds of the members of the commission concurning threin.

II. The proceedings, findings, and sentences of the commission in the case cases of William A. Bowles, Lambdin P. Miligan, and Stephen Horsey, citizens, were approved by the proper commanders and the records forwarded for the action of the President of the United States, who approves the sentences and directs that they be carried into execution by the commanding general of the District of Indiana, under the orders of the department commander, without delay.

William A. Bowles, citizens of the State of Indiana, will be hanged by the neck until he be dead on Friday, the 19th day of May, 1865, between the hours of 12 p. m. and 3 p. m., one the parade grounds between Camp Morton and Burnside, near the city of Indianapolis, Ind. Bvt. Brigadier General Ambrose A. Stevens, commanding Camp Morton and Burnside Barracks, is charged with the execution of this order and will make report thereof to the commanding general.

Lambdin P. Milligan, citizens of the State of Indiana, will be hanged by the neck until he be dead on Friday, the 19th day of May, 1865, between the hours of 12 m. and 3 p. m., on the parade grounds between Camp Morton and Burnside, near the city of Indianapolis, Ind. Bvt. Brigadier General Ambrose A. Stevens, commanding Camp Morton and Burnside Barracks, is charged with the execution of this order and will make report thereof to the commanding general.

Stephen Horsey, citizen of the State of Indiana, will be hanged by the neck until he be dead on Friday, the 19th day of May, 1865, between the hours of 12 m. and 3 p. m., on the parade grounds between Camp Morton and Burnside Barracks, near the city of Indianapolis, Ind.
