SIR: I respectfully report the health of state prisoner Jefferson Davis as much the same as on the 3rd instant. I observe that he is growing weaker slowly but surely. I can discover no prominent lesion in any of his organs, but observe the gradual wearing away of his whole system. He is decidedly in worse condition than he was some months since,
