fleet. Captain Sawtelle will provide General Smith with boats to take such property or troops as he has not transportation for. After having accomplished the above, Captain Sawtelle will proceed with his fleet to Morganza, to load and unload such troops and stores as may be ordered, and proceed to such points as will be hereafter designated.

XIV. Brigadier General Fitz Henry Warren will, with the troops recently from Pass Cavallo, proceed by land to Morganza, according to paragraph IV, Field Orders, 47, of this date.

ORDERS.] HDQRS. 19TH ARMY CORPS AND U. S. FORCES, Near Simsport, La., May 20, 1864.

This command will move immediately as follows: First, cavalry brigade; second, Nineteenth Army Corps; third, Nineteenth Army Corps trains; fourth, ammunition trains; fifth, pontoon train and engineer regiments; sixth, Colonel Dickey's brigade; seventh, colonel Dickey's train; eight, Thirteenth Army Corps train; ninth Thirteenth Army Corps; tenth, cavalry brigade. The remainder of the cavalry will move as directed in verbal orders to be given to Brigadier-General Arnold, who will report at these headquarters for further orders. The cavalry trains will move in that part of the train nearest their brigades.
