General Willcox is advancing steadily; he has found great difficulty in getting his line across the railroad cut, it being fifteen feet deep. His advanced brigade is now prepared to attack, it all being across the railroad, and will do so at once. General Potter reports that Birney's line of skirmishers is behind his line of battle.
