COLONEL: I have the honor to report that the usual sharpshooting and mortar firing continues. Captain Roemer reported this morning that portion of the new line now being constructed under Lieutenant Benyaurd, of the Engineers, running left from Roemer, is enfiladed by the enemy's fort recently blown up, and the fire of their sharpshooters from that point, and I would recommend a correction of the line.
