About 8.30 two trains, one of six and one of eleven six-horse wagons, passed open space coming from enemy's left in Chesterfield and going toward pontoon. The camps to our left of open space have visibly decreased. Troops are drilling in open space above pontoon.

Several wagons passed military road going toward lower pontoon. A force of cavalry, supposed to be about two regiments, passing Bermuda Hundred road, going toward that place. I think it is the same force which I reported about an hour ago. A train of seven wagons passed open space going toward our front in Chesterfield.
