COLONEL: But two deserters have been received since the 4th instant. These report that Pickett's division is in front, consisting of four brigades of Virginians and one brigade of Georgians; the latter on the Appomattox River. Deserters previous to the 4th reported that one regiment had been detached from each brigade for some other point.
