GENERAL: In accordance with instructions from department headquarters, the Third Iowa Infantry will report to the commanding officer Second Iowa Infantry (Fourth Division, Fifteenth Army Corps), as directed by Special Field Orders, Numbers 159, extract I, the first time we are encamped near the fifteenth Army Corps.

Commanding Second Division, Fourteenth Army Corps:

The general commanding directs that you move your command at sunrise and push on toward Eatonton Facoty; this will lead you toward the right of Eatonton. The objective point is Milledgeville, and it is desired that the road through Eatonton be left for the Twentieth Corps. A staff officer from these headquarters will reach you before you arrive at Eatonton Factory.

The major- General commanding desires you to move the corps at 5 a. m. to- morrow, and go as far as Eatonton, if possible.

ORDERS.] HEADQUARTERS TWENTIETH CORPS,

Harris' House, near Madison, GA., November 19, 1864.

The corps will move to- morrow toward Eatonton, as follows; Third Division at 5 a. M. ; Second Division train at 6 a. m. ; First Division at 7 a. m. General Ward will march one uncumbered brigade in front. The balance of his command will march alongside the train, and will cover half of the train of the Second Division. General Jackson will march one brigade in rear oft he entire train, t he balance of his command being distributed along the train so as to cover half of General Geary's trains. The pontoon train will march in rear of the Second Division train, starting at 7 a. m. Major Reynolds, chief of artillery, will assign one battery to march immediately in rear of the advanced
