First Division pass its camp, making Irwinton his destination also. The Third Division, Brigadier-General Smith commanding, with Battery H, First Illinois Light Artillery, will remain at Gordon until further orders, and will send a sufficient number of men (at least 100), with axes and implements, to destroy the trestle-work three and a half miles west of Gordon, early in the day, if the work has not already been accomplished. Two regiments of infantry should accompany this detail as guard while the work is being done. Brigadier-General Corse, commanding Fourth Division, will move to Gordon, and encamp two miles south of that place, occupying the position vacated by the First Division, where he will await further orders. Major Stolbrand, commanding Artillery Brigade, will cause Battery H, First Illinois Light Artillery, to report to Brigadier-General Smith, Third Division, as indicated above, and the Missouri battery of 12-pounders to report to Brigadier-General Corse, Fourth Division, for position with his command to-morrow. The remaining batteries of Artillery Brigade will, until further orders, remain with the divisions to which they are now assigned.

I. This command will move to-morrow, the 24th instant, as follows: The Second Brigade has the advance, and will move at 5. 30 a. m. ; the First Brigade will move in the center, and break camp at 6 a. m. ; the Third Brigade will bring up the rear, and close upon the First Brigade. The pioneer corps will move in rear of the advance regiment, and repair the roads whenever it may be necessary. The trains will move as follows: First, the pioneer corps train; then the brigade trains in their respective order of march; followed by the ordnance, supply, and, last, the ambulance train.
