COLONEL: I have the honor to report all quiet in this vicinity. A picket-post, supplied from the detachment of the Sixteenth New York Cavalry, at Annandale, consisting of one corporal and three men, stationed on the old Braddock road about three miles southwest of Annandale was surrounded and captured by a party of about fifteen rebels this morning between 5 and 6 o'clock. Four horses and three of the men were taken by the enemy. The corporal alone escaped to bring the tidings to camp. I have nothing to report from advance scouts.
